Even though are boys are not officially ‘in school’ yet, my husband and I are, and being the children of teachers you just assume everyone goes to school during the day. They’ve always referred to their babysitters at their teachers and their homes as ‘their schools.” This year Big Brother has even been waking up early to stand at the bus stop with his friends to see them off as they wait for the bus. When I take them to their babysitters house as I work at the school part time, they now say ‘Thank you bus driver! Have a good day!’ followed by a kiss. It always makes me smile as I think of how skewed their view of ‘school’ is right now, but soon it will be Big Brother’s turn to actually head to school for real… so for now, we are soaking up every minute we have together at home!
‘After School Snacks’ are probably one of our boys favorite times of the day. I don’t typically give them any sugary snacks until after their afternoon nap/after school depending on the day, so they are eager to get a sweet treat in the afternoon. The boys and I are always making new snack creations. Sometimes I need those snacks to be a little more or less filling depending on when we will be eating dinner that evening. Here is a collection of 15 Fun After School Snacks to Make & Eat; perfect recipes to make with or for your kids!
