Chili’s Restaurant Salsa

We love Chili’s Salsa! I was thrilled when I saw this recipe, as I’m a little embarrassed to admit that we have actually ordered To Go’s from Chili’s just for their salsa in the past. I am more of a “blended” salsa kind-of-girl, who loves spice! I love this recipe because I can actually make half of the batch with only a few jalapenos (which our boys love) and add even a few more than the recipe calls for in the “mom and dad” batch. My favorite place for this salsa is on top of a taco salad! Yum-O!

  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) whole tomatoes, drained
  • 1 small (4 oz) can diced or whole jalapenos (not pickled)–about 4-5 jalapenos (or less if you don’t like a lot of spice)
  • 1/4 c. yellow onion, cut into quarters (you can also use dried minced onion)
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. salt (depending on how much you prefer)
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. lime juice

1. Place all the ingredients into your food processor or blender and puree. Serve with tortilla chips.

  1. Chilis does have one of the best salsas in my opinion. I am pretty excited to see this copycat recipe!!! Thank you so much!!!!

  2. I recently came across this recipe after craving Chili’s salsa – but with no way to get to a store, due distance and my husband having terminal cancer, that we don’t go out to eat very often anymore. I can attest to this tasting just like Chili’s. After craving this for weeks, I put it in the blender and tasted it right out of there and was surprised by how much it really tasted like it! With myself craving it nothing else would do but now I have to go easy, otherwise I will eat this all in one seating all by myself! Try it and Enjoy!
