Duck Tape® Christmas Tree

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Duck Brand®. All opinions are 100% mine.

Looking for a fun, unique Christmas decoration this year!? Our family made Duck Tape® Christmas Trees to add to our mantle this year with just a few of the awesome seasonal colors Duck Tape® is offering now. This is the perfect crafts for your children to help make as a gift or decoration this season and only requires 2 simple materials you can find at just about any store. Duck Tape® Christmas Trees are a fun way to keep your preschoolers on up busy as the anticipation of Christmas is in full-force!

Materials:

  • Duck Tape®: Duck® Brand (now available is so many colors and awesome patterns)
  • Styrofoam cones (they come in all sizes)

Directions:

1. Tear of strips of Duck Tape® and cover the bottom of the cone up to about an inch high around the base.

2. Tear off 2 inch pieces of Duck Tape®.

3. Fold the bottom corners in towards the middle to create a point. It’s best to use the edges that have been torn to create the point. This will allow you to cover up any imperfect tears. You will need plenty of these pieces.

4. Place the pieces of the tape on the cone, beginning at the bottom and working your way around the base. Place the piece so that the the point of the piece of Duck Tape® is lined up with the bottom of the cone.

5. Begin placing the next row by placing the point in bewtween two pieces of the first layer, but slightly higher than the points of the first layer. Do the same with the next pieces as you work your way around the cone.

6. Repeat the process as you work your way up the cone.

7. Before you place the last layer, tear some strips of Duck Tape® to cover the tip of the cone, but don’t cover up the points of your layers. Then place the last layer on the the cone.

    • BB- Yea; I’m so glad you like them! I have a feeling your grandbabies will have a blast making these. Begin with the small ones as they are easy and great for shorter attention spans! ;)
