Easy Gourmet Popcorn in a Bag

A rainy day tradition at our home is cuddling under a blanket, watching a movie, drinking chocolate milk (milk for the boys; coffee for me), and eating popcorn. Recently I tried a new way of making popcorn and we fell in love! It sort of makes me laugh even saying that I had no idea you could make popcorn so easily as I am of the generation of ‘pull a bag of popcorn out of the box and toss it in the microwave.’ Our boys loved ‘making their own popcorn’ and the best part was it was so much healthier, cheaper, and tasted so much fresher and light without all the ‘goop’ from the bag! We are hooked!

Ingredients/Materials:

Yellow Popping Corn

Brown Paper Lunch Bag

Salt/Other Popcorn Seasonings (optional)

Directions:

1. Pour 1/2 a cup of popcorn kernals into the brown paper bag.

2. Fold down the top of the bag twice; no need to seal or secure too tightly.

3. Toss it into your microwave for 2 minutes or until there are 3-5 seconds between pops.

4. Unfold the bag and enjoy! Sounds too easy right!? Try it; you’ll be hooked! :)
