My thumb is no where near green! In fact, I’m pretty sure my husband would say it’s brown! I pride myself in keeping our family fed, cared for and living; not plants! My problem lies in that for some reason my lack of skill in keeping plants alive does not deter me from wanting to keep trying.
This Fall, I have been drooling over these fantastic Fall Flower Pumpkin Planters:

Our boys are very excited about pumpkins this Fall! They are sure to point out every pumpkin that comes into view. I’m not sure what they’re going to do when the pumpkin patches close and the pumpkins cease to decorate every store and buisnesses around. However, my plan is to take advantage of the pumpkin sales after Halloween and grab a few for some beautiful Thanksgiving table tablescapes featuring pumpkin planters!
Here are some simple directions for creating your own Fall Flower Pumpkin Planters:
Materials:
- A pumpkin
- Favorite fall flowers
- Miracle-Gro® Gro Potting Mix
Directions
- Clean out pumpkin and poke 3 drainage holes in the bottom o fthe pumpkin
- Fill the pumpkin about 3/4 full with potting soil
- Following planting directions, plant your favorite fall flowers
- Add water
