I received Jesus Calling (adult version) last Christmas from my husband, and have absolutely loved this past year! There were many days The Lord used it to speak to specific needs/situations I was facing. I’m not crediting Jesus Calling for speaking to my needs, but rather God Himself, who choose to use the book to speak to my heart. Many other close friends and family have also felt have shared that it also very encouraging and challenging to them as well. As our boys grow older, I am excited to explore the Jesus Calling for Kids devotional as well, as they absolutely love their Jesus Calling Storybook Bible (a great introduction for younger children).

Jesus Calling- 365 Devotions for Kids Sarah Young
Jesus Calling for Kids is full of devotions written as if Jesus is speaking directly to a child’s heart! Based on her original Jesus Calling, this version has been adapted in a language and fashion that kids and tweens can relate to their everyday lives.
After many years of writing in her prayer journal, missionary Sarah Young decided to listen to God with pen in hand, writing down what she believed He was saying to her through Scripture. Others were blessed as she shared her writings, until people all over the world were using her devotionals. They are written from Jesus’ point of view, thus the title Jesus Calling. It is Sarah’s fervent prayer that our Savior may bless readers, and now young readers, with His presence and His peace in ever deeper measure. (thomasnelson.com)
Jesus Calling Sarah Young
Each day is written as if Jesus Himself were speaking to you. Because He is. Do you hear Him calling?
Jesus is calling out to you in the same way. Maybe you share the author’s need for a great sense of “God with you”. Or perhaps Jesus seems distant without you knowing why. Or maybe you have wandered farther from Him that you ever imagined you would. Here is a year’s worth of daily readings from Young’s journals to bring you closer to Christ and move your time with Him from monologue to a dialogue. (thomasnelson.com)
