I have been enjoying my Jesus Calling Devotional for adults for over a year. I particularly love how personalized the devotionals are written from God’s heart to ours. I have been challenged, comforted, and inspired by several of them, and for that reason was very interested in the children’s editions for our family devotional times with our boys.
Our family began reading our Jesus Calling Storybook Bible for about a month now and absolutely love it.
- The illustrations are fantastic and really draw our young boys into the story as they analyze the pictures and ask questions about what they see.
- The Bible stories range from creation to the beginnings of the early church after Jesus’ ascension.
- As a parent of young children I appreciate how the Jesus Calling Storybook Bible breaks up the stories into shorter segments allowing us to finish a complete story before our children’s attention spans deplete, or allowing us to read a few stories on those days when they just can’t get enough.
- However, my absolute favorite characteristic of the Jesus Calling Storybook Bible is that it includes little pieces of Jesus’ heart directed toward our children; precious words for them to listen to and hold in their hearts!
Little Brother will bring the Bible to us occasionally asking us to reread a story we previously read. He loves rereading the same stories and looking at the illustrations in the Storybook Bible. While we have several children’s bibles and devotionals around our home, the Jesus Calling Storybook Bible is a favorite to everyone in our family!
The Jesus Calling Storybook Bible is designed for ages 4-7 and holds true to Biblical scripture.
