Leprechaun Bark

Leprechaun Bark is a perfect kid-friendly treat to make this St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a recipe that everyone gets to participate in making! Leprechaun Bark is also a great treat to make after watching The Meaning of St. Patrick’s Day Video . You could help your child to make small gift bags of Leprechaun Bark for friends or family as a way to spread love with a note of The Good News just as St. Patrick did years ago!

Ingredients:

(the best part about the ingredients are that they can be whatever you have at home!) :)

Green Chocolate Candy Disks (or white chocolate with green food coloring)

Rainbow Sprinkles

Chocolate Chips

Mini Marshmallows

Chocolate Granola

Almond Pieces

Directions:

1. Melt the chocolate candy disks in a bowl in the microwave. Melt them for one minute, then remove and stir, then continue melting them in 30 second intervals until the disks are all melted and stir smooth.

2. When the chocolate is melted, use a knife to spread in a 1/4 inch thickness over a non-stick surface (ex. on a Silpat non-stick sheet or use wax paper).

3. Next sprinkle your toppings onto the melted chocolate.

4. Place the finished Leprechaun Bark into the refrigerator until it is completely hardened. Then remove and break into small pieces with your hands.
