Leprechaun Lattes

Our morning lattes have been taking a festive St. Patrick’s Day spin lately. Our boys love a latte as well; minus the expresso! :)

Ingredients:

  • Milk
  • Espresso
  • Irish Cream Flavoring Syrup
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Rainbow Sprinkles

Directions:

(These directions are written with the assumption that you have an espresso machine and are familiar with how to use it.)

Kid-Version (no espresso)

  1. Begin by adding a few drops of green food coloring to your milk before frothing.
  2. Place a small amount of syrup in the bottom of your “coffee” cup. Add the green milk and stir.
  3. Sprinkle a few rainbow sprinkles on top. Some sprinkles may sink; you can challenge them to search for the missing rainbow pieces.

Parent-Version (with espresso)

  1. Begin by adding a few drops of green food coloring to your milk before frothing.
  2. Place a small amount of syrup in the bottom of your coffee cup. Add a enough milk to stir in with the syrup, then set the rest aside.
  3. After the espresso shot is pulled, pour it into your cup with syrup and milk. Next, add the rest of the milk and froth and stir well.
  4. Sprinkle a few rainbow sprinkles on top. (Optional)
