Our morning lattes have been taking a festive St. Patrick’s Day spin lately. Our boys love a latte as well; minus the expresso!
Ingredients:
- Milk
- Espresso
- Irish Cream Flavoring Syrup
- Green Food Coloring
- Rainbow Sprinkles
Directions:
(These directions are written with the assumption that you have an espresso machine and are familiar with how to use it.)
Kid-Version (no espresso)
- Begin by adding a few drops of green food coloring to your milk before frothing.
- Place a small amount of syrup in the bottom of your “coffee” cup. Add the green milk and stir.
- Sprinkle a few rainbow sprinkles on top. Some sprinkles may sink; you can challenge them to search for the missing rainbow pieces.
Parent-Version (with espresso)
- Begin by adding a few drops of green food coloring to your milk before frothing.
- Place a small amount of syrup in the bottom of your coffee cup. Add a enough milk to stir in with the syrup, then set the rest aside.
- After the espresso shot is pulled, pour it into your cup with syrup and milk. Next, add the rest of the milk and froth and stir well.
- Sprinkle a few rainbow sprinkles on top. (Optional)
