Little Brother’s 2nd Birthday @ Pump It Up

I love planning, decorating, baking for, and everything else about my kid’s birthdays.  I look forward to these events knowing they make our boys feel so special!

This year Little Brother’s birthday (December 20th) feel in the midst of our ‘moving madness’. My husband gently informed me that I couldn’t plan a party at our home like we typically do, because we had no idea where we would be living: our old home, a hotel, or our new home. So I took his advice, and began looking for great locations to host a young toddler party in our area with a reasonable price.

Pump It Up

We had several options in the area, but landed upon Pump It Up because our boys have previously enjoyed their Toddler Pop-in Playtimes. We had never been to a birthday party there, but their website was very helpful, and provided all the information I needed to settle on having Little Brother’s party at Pump It Up.

The following week, I received a packet full of invitations in the mail with our party confirmation. (Although I couldn’t resist and created our own invitations for the party with his ‘much desired ball theme’. Little Brother has been telling everyone he was having a ‘ball birthday’ for months now, so I knew I needed to add in a few ball details.

The day before the party, the Party Hosts from Pump It Up called to confirm the number of children, and which, if any add-ons we wanted to purchase. The add-on options were: pizza, goodie bags, or balloons. We kept it simple and choose balloons.

The day of the party, we were greeted by the Party Hosts in the lobby as they followed us back out to our car to help us carry in all of our party supplies. They immediately took all of our food and snacks back to the party room, while we greeted our guests in the lobby and watched a safety video before entering our private arena.

We had the private arena to ourselves for 1.5 hours filled with an inflatable maze, giant bounce house, bounce basketball/soccer/jousting arena, and  a huge inflatable slide.  The kids had plenty of room to run, play, bounce, and climb. There were no tears, no bored children, and definitely lots of fun being had by all- parents and children!

The play time was concluded by a quick 30 minute snack and cake time in a private party room. The party room had a giant inflatable throne for the birthday child to sit on while everyone sang to them. Little Brother wanted his brother to sit with him on the seat of honor!

The best part was that there was NO CLEAN UP! The Party Hosts helped us collect all the leftover snacks, cake balls/pops, and ice cream and take them out to our car. This was the PERFECT party for our family during our ‘moving madness.’
