Share the real meaning of Christmas with your little one!
“Children look forward to Christmas all year long, but they need to know that its true meaning is about much more than decorating cookies and opening gifts. It’s about the greatest Gift of all! These sweet stories, songs, prayers, and scriptures are combined with charming illustrations from Precious Moments® to help your child understand and celebrate the wonders of Jesus’ birth.” (thomasnelson.com)
With two young boys (ages 3.5 and another who turns 2 a few days before Christmas) just like you, we are combating the ‘commercialized Christmas’ as we try to explain to them the real meaning of Christmas. Luckily, there are great resources for families like the Precious Moments: My Christmas Bible Storybook to help us focus our families on the greatest gift of all! Little Brother is absolutely taken by this Bible! We loves curling up with my husband or I on his little bed as we read him the short little segments of the Christmas Story. The illustrations captivate his attention while we sing through some of the popular songs illustrated in it’s pages like Silent Night. Big Brother also enjoys this Bible, especially the illustrations. His only dilemma is that Little Brother has practically ‘claimed’ this book and is rather protective of it at times!
