I must admit that ‘as the son of a blogger’ Big Brother is beginning to get a completely miscued view of what he refers to as the ‘Present Truck’ (UPS truck). You see in his mind the ‘Present Truck’ drops off presents and gives him a piece of candy when Big Brother greets the UPS man at the door. He doesn’t really care who they are from but he now assumes that the boxes are for him! Who wouldn’t love this right!?
Well, this time Big Brother was absolutely thrilled and couldn’t wait until after his nap to paint his Go Create: Paint Your Own Plaster Magnets from our friends at CraftProjectIdeas.com!
Both of our boys (ages 3 and 18 months) would have painted all the magnets in one sitting if we would have allowed them. Big Brother painted a few for his grandparents and then invited his neighbor friends to come over and paint with him. Little Brother was even excited to get in on the action!
Even my husband and I got in on action and painted a magnet! We all had a great time together and we enjoyed
Our neighbor friends (2nd grade and 1st grade) loved painting their own magnets as well, and were excited to take them home to show their families! This is a fantastic craft kit to encourage sharing, as there are 14 magnets…way too many for one home’s refrigerator; at least from a mom’s perspective!
As a parent, I loved the fact that the kit came with the magnets already secured on the backs of each magnet (great for homes with little ones), that there were 2 paint brushed included, and that it included PLENTY of paint (10 different colors)! We even had paint left over to use on our own plaster projects we are working on with Craft Project Ideas’s fantastic Plaster of Paris!
Craft Project Ideas.com has also so kindly given the opportunity for One Cheerios and Lattes reader to WIN their own Go Create: Paint Your Own Plaster Magnets!

I also want to share with you Horizon Group USA & Wal Mart’s Craft Project Ideas.com website! They spotlight New Products, Seasonal Craft Ideas, How To’s, and a Featured Material of the Month. This is a great website for teachers, parents, and older children (with supervision) to find great craft and homemade gift ideas. A great website for those “I’m Bored!” final days of summer!
