Raspberry Jello Applesauce {A Kid’s Holiday Favorite}

What kid doesn’t like Jello or applesauce? Our little guys are big fans of  both. I think that’s why their Grandma’s Raspberry Jello Applesauce has become one of their favorite side dishes! This is also a favorite of my husband, from his childhood, he remembers it as a regular at his Grandma’s house for special meals. Raspberry Jello Applesauce is an easy-to-make sweet applesauce dish that is sure to excite everyone around your table this holiday!

Raspberry Jello Applesauce {A Kid's Holiday Favorite}

  • 2 c. thick smooth applesauce
  • 1 small pkg raspberry jello
  • 1 t. grated orange rind
  • 3 T. orange juice
  • 1 – 7oz. bottle carbonated lemon-lime soda

1. Heat the applesauce, orange juice, and soda to good boil.

2. Dissolve Jello in the hot liquid; stir well.

3. Pour into a 9×9 pan and chill overnight. (double the recipe for a 9×13 pan)

Serve chilled.

*Note: You can adjust the ‘stiffness’ by adjusting the amount of Jello added to the recipe: less Jello results in a more ‘smooth applesaucey’ texture, while more Jello results in a ‘stiffer’ texture.

  1. I think my kids will like this. Very interesting recipe!

  2. Mackenzie,
    This is such a great recipe. My husband and sons would love this, and my boys are in their 20’s. I would love it if you would share this at this weeks Wednesdays Adorned From Above Blog Hop. It runs through midnight Sunday. Here is the link to the party.
