While on vacation this summer I had an incredible Steak Caesar Salad at the resort pool bar of all places! The steak was so fantastic and I couldn’t stop thinking about it and how sweet but subtle the flavor was, I was sure it had some type of brown sugar in the marinade. When I asked the waiter if he would be willing to get the recipe for me, he rattled off the ingredients and then left me guessing for measurements; but to my surprise there was absolutely no sugar! I went home and worked out the recipe the next day… yes, it was THAT good!
Within only three weeks of being home from vacation, I made this recipe twice: once with chicken and again with steak. So great! My husband and I are in love with it over a salad with a light vinegarette dressing. This is a MUST try; the best part is there is no need to feel guilty after enjoying this skinny sweet marinade!
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, need not be expensive
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper, freshly ground
Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients in a large Ziploc bag with your meat and or veggies. Allow to marinade for several hours in the refrigerator before grilling. While grilling, brush the marinade over the meat and or veggies for extra flavor.

This looks so good. I’m always looking for a way to change things up. Thanks so much for linking it up to my Pity Party.
