Apple Crisp Stuffed Apples & Giveaway

My mom makes the best apple crisp! I have tried many other recipes, but none quite compare. This Fall I decided to use her amazing recipe and add a little twist to it. Apple Crisp Stuffed Apples, the perfect Fall recipe! Our house smelled amazing as I baked these stuffed apples in our crockpot all day. By evening, the entire house smelled of sweet apples and so delicious it almost made us want to skip our dinner and head straight for the dessert! {No, we didn’t do it; I promise!}

I love easy recipes that require a crockpot/slow cooker for many reasons: I feel safe in leaving the house while it is cooking, my house smells amazing, everything comes out so tender, and I guess I feel a little “Betty Crockerish” that I actually preplanned a meal and dessert enough that it cooked all day. Sometimes preplanning a meal as a mom of little ones is enough in itself to feel very proud of! Right ladies!?!

Well, this month of October, I’ve joined forces with three other bloggers to celebrate Crocktober! We will be sharing some of our Crock-Pot recipes and we want you to add your Crock-Pot recipes to the link party. I’m kicking off Crocktober on Cheerios and Lattes with dessert; dessert first, dinner later! 😉

Crockpot Apple Crisp Stuffed Apples #applecrisp #crockpotrecipes #crocktober #stuffedapples

  • 4-6 Apples
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Margarine
  • 3/4 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 1 cup Instant Oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

1. First, wash and core your apples. And if you’re like me… don’t forget to take the stickers off! (Why is that so hard to remember?)

2. Next, mix up your apple crisp ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.

3.  Stuff your apples with your apple crisp mixture.

4. Spray your crockpot/slow cooker with a non-stick spray, then gently place your apples inside.

5. Sprinkle the rest of the apple crisp topping over the apples, letting the rest fall to the bottom of the pot.

6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. When ready, the apples should be very soft to the touch/poke.

7. Serve by cutting in half and topping with ice cream (if desired).
